How SwagWear Curated Premium Golf Giveaways for Chubb’s Annual Golf Outing

The Brief

Chubb, one of the world's largest property and casualty insurance companies, came to SwagWear needing premium giveaways for their annual corporate golf outing. The event featured multiple competitions — winning team, longest drive, closest to the pin, second and third place teams, and even last place — each requiring a distinct, tiered gift that fit within Chubb's strict $250 per-person gifting policy.

Marketing & Communications Coordinator Evann Specht and her team needed the SwagWear team to navigate tight inventory constraints, compliance requirements, and a firm event deadline — all while sourcing gifts that felt premium, on-brand, and genuinely exciting for golfers.

The Challenge

Chubb's gifting compliance rules capped individual item value at $250 — meaning every prize had to be carefully priced, sourced, and confirmed before ordering. Inventory was another hurdle: premium items like YETI coolers had limited availability and extended lead times. The SwagWear team had to move fast, think creatively, and keep multiple prize tiers organized simultaneously.

The SwagWear Solution

The SwagWear team designed a complete tiered prize structure for the event:

  • Winning Team — YETI Large Cooler in Navy with subtle Chubb logo (charcoal or navy, same as the Spotify YETI order the team had just completed)
  • Longest Drive — Bushnell Rangefinder with custom Chubb-branded pouch
  • Closest to the Pin — Tumi Weekend Duffel
  • 2nd Place Team — Bushnell Wingman GPS Speaker, a magnetic golf cart speaker that also delivers GPS yardage distances. As the SwagWear team told Chubb: "This will be the most sought-after of all the gifts — guaranteed."
  • 3rd Place Team — Corkcicle Coffee to Cocktail set
  • Last Place — Toilet Golf Game Set (a crowd-pleasing, humorous touch)

Every item was sourced with the Chubb logo applied — laser engraved, embroidered, or printed depending on the product. The SwagWear team also coordinated apparel for all attendees, ensuring men and women received matching items in their respective sizes.
